As the enemy army surged across the valley, thousands of warriors shouted and charged. Arrows darkened the sky. Spears shattered. The earth trembled beneath marching feet.
At the center of it all stood Valka.
Enemy champions laughed when they first saw her. They thought her huge armor was for show.
They were wrong.
With a roar that echoed across the mountains, Valka planted her feet and raised her war hammer. The muscles of her arms tightened like coiled cables. Veins stood out across her forearms.
Then she flexed.
The movement seemed impossible.
Her biceps swelled, growing larger and harder as she drew her arms inward. The steel guards wrapped around her upper arms groaned under the pressure. Rivets popped free like sparks from a forge.
CRACK!
One steel cover split down the middle.
CRUNCH!
The other burst apart entirely, fragments spinning through the air.
Soldiers on both sides froze in shock.
Freed from their restraints, Valka's enormous biceps bulged like living mountains beneath her skin. The enchanted steel that protected them had been crafted to withstand axe blows and dragon claws, yet her sheer strength had torn it apart.
The enemy commander stared in disbelief.
"That's impossible," he whispered.
Valka smiled.
"Then you should have brought stronger armor."
She charged.
Each step shook the ground. Enemy warriors scattered as her hammer swept through shields and weapons. Wherever she fought, the battle line collapsed. Arrows bounced from her armor. Spears snapped against her frame. Her massive arms swung with the force of siege engines.
By sunset, the invaders were retreating across the valley.
As the victorious army cheered, Valka stood among broken banners and shattered steel. The remains of her arm guards lay scattered around her feet, twisted and torn by the strength that had burst them apart.
The soldiers would tell stories of that day for generations—not of the thousands who fought, nor of the kings who commanded.
They spoke instead of the nine-foot-tall warrior woman whose muscles were so powerful that even steel could not contain them.
